All sessions will be held at the Plain City Stake Center. Refreshments will be served tonight, including a special invitation. We also remind you of the Leadership meeting to be held Sunday morning at 8am at the Stake Center, for all stake and ward council members, including counselors and secretaries. In a world that seems increasingly chaotic, please join us as we hear from our neighbors and friends on how they have found peace through following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I've been thinking a lot about this scripture in John 14:27, as it will be the main theme of our upcoming Stake Conference next Saturday & Sunday (May 16th & 17th). With everything going on in the world, and more personally, everything going on in our own lives, the question of 'where can I turn for peace' is a common one I ask myself. It doesn't seem to come from the things of this world, although they can bring us temporary joy. True lasting peace comes from our Savior Jesus Christ.
Join us next Saturday and Sunday for the Plain City Stake Conference, as we will hear from members of the community who have turned to Jesus Christ to help them find peace in their own lives. We promise that you will be uplifted as you come with the intent to learn about how the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring peace in your life, especially amid the challenges of everyday life and in a seemingly chaotic world.
Attached is a flyer outlining the schedule of conference, but in a nutshell it is as follows:
Adult Session - Saturday, May 16th, 7:00pm @ The Plain City Stake Center - all adults 18 & older are invited to attend (refreshments served afterward)
Leadership Meeting - Sunday, May 17th, 8:00am @ The Plain City Stake Center - for everyone in a presidency, including secretaries, in ward or stake callings. Elders Quorum, Relief Society, Young Women, Primary, Sunday School, Ward Mission Leaders, High Council, Patriarchs, and Bishoprics.
General Session - Sunday, May 17th, 10:00am @ The Plain City Stake Center - all are invited to attend
All sessions will be at the Plain City Stake Center (4575 W 2125 N).
